Canal Route I: Another greenway magically appears just past Bunting St. It's not always clear why but it appears that builders were hesitant to build over part of the canal.

Queenston St. Swing Bridge - 1921: This was a pretty important bridge at one time, Queenston St. was a well established road that handled traffic between St. Catharines and Niagara on the Lake.

Queenston St. Swing Bridge - Today: It's gone. The photo at right looks across Queenston St. and along the route of the Third Welland Canal. While the old swing bridge is gone the road is still shaped the way Queenston St. was when abridge was required giving another clue of where the canal once went.

Lock 10 - 1921: Lock 10 can be seen in the photo at right. It was no longer used in 1933 and over the years it was filled in and buried. If you look for it today it's buried under part of Victoria Lawn Cemetery (section s-s)

Canal Route II: Finally, just before reaching Government Rd. and ending our tour, The Canal suddenly reappears. The channel is visible in the picture running from left to right and away from the camera. Government Rd. and the Fourth Welland Canal are located just over the hill.
